Denna Naemi, BScN, MN, NP-PHC

Denna Naemi is a skilled Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in adult cardiac surgery and pediatric acute care across cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology, and neurosurgery. She provides primary care to children, youth, and families with a holistic, developmentally informed approach. She is well-versed in gynecological management and prioritizes patient comfort.

Denna earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Distinction from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. She then completed her Master of Nursing in the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Toronto with a global health emphasis and additional coursework in women's health, where she was consistently recognized in the top percentile of her class. She has particular interests in pediatrics, sexual health, contraception, and women's wellness.

Denna began her career on the adult cardiac surgery unit in Vancouver before transitioning to BC Children's Hospital, where she supported patients on both the cardiac and neurological teams. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked on film sets performing testing, offering education, and helping maintain safety protocols.

Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, Pilates (especially barre), hiking, traveling, going to concerts with friends, and spending time with her tuxedo cat, Figaro.
