Frequently Asked Questions

What you should know before booking

No. The Menopause Package ($350) is available to anyone. For ongoing care after your initial package, a Family Practice membership ($450+HST/year) is recommended as it includes unlimited follow-up visits and lab work coordination.
Yes. Mitali Patel is certified through The Menopause Society and has specialized training in menopause management and hormone therapy. She prescribes HRT (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone) and follows current menopause society guidelines.
We offer bioidentical and traditional HRT in several forms: pills, patches, gels, creams, and vaginal preparations. Your treatment is based on your symptoms, health history, and preferences.
We offer non-hormonal menopause medication along with other options like vaginal moisturizers, lifestyle modifications, supplements, and behavioral strategies. Your treatment plan is built around what works for you.
The safety picture for HRT has improved significantly since the 2002 WHI study that initially alarmed many women and clinicians. Current evidence shows that for most women who start HRT within 10 years of menopause, the benefits generally outweigh the risks. That said, individual risk factors do matter — breast cancer history, cardiovascular risk, and other factors affect whether HRT is appropriate for you. Mitali reviews your personal history in detail and walks through benefits and risks specific to your situation before any treatment decision.
Your Menopause Package includes a 45-minute follow-up visit. After that, follow-ups are typically every 3-6 months. Family Practice membership includes unlimited follow-ups at no extra cost.
Yes. Perimenopause often brings the most disruptive symptoms. We help with symptom management, cycle regulation, and hormone therapy during the transition years.

We help with a wide range of perimenopause and menopause symptoms, including:

  • Hot flashes and night sweats
  • Sleep disruption
  • Mood changes
  • Brain fog
  • Weight changes
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Low libido
  • Joint pain

What Our Patients Say

“I have a family doctor who has denied me treatment of Perimenopause symptoms for 2 years. One appointment with Care& and I felt acknowledged and treated for the first time in years.”
