Our Approach

More than a prescription pad

Thorough Assessment

Your first visit is a full assessment. Your NP takes the time to understand your symptoms, history, and what you've already tried. No 10-minute checkbox visit.

Medication Management

NPs can prescribe and manage medications for anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, and other mental health conditions. Dosage adjustments and monitoring are included with membership.

Therapy Referrals

When talk therapy would help, we connect you with psychologists and therapists in our referral network. Medication and therapy together often work better than either alone.

Ongoing Monitoring

Mental health care isn't one-and-done. Regular check-ins, medication adjustments, and follow-up visits are all included with your membership.

Why Care& for Mental Health

Skip the Waitlist

Walk-in clinics won't manage ongoing mental health. OHIP psychiatrists have 6-12 month waitlists. At Care&, most patients get an appointment within days.

Privacy & Continuity

The same NP every visit. You don't have to re-explain your history to a different provider each time. Your records stay private and secure in the Care& app.

Longer Appointments

30-45 minute visits, not the 5-minute check-ins you get at a walk-in. Mental health deserves proper time.

Whole-Person Care

Mental health doesn't exist in a vacuum. Your NP also manages your physical health, lab work, and any medications that interact. Everything in one place.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger

Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room right away. For crisis support, call the Toronto Distress Centre at 416-408-4357 or the national Suicide Crisis Helpline at 988 (call or text, 24/7). Care& is not an emergency service and cannot provide crisis intervention.

Our NPs provide medication management and clinical support, not therapy sessions. When therapy would help, we refer to psychologists and therapists. Many patients use both: medication management through Care& and talk therapy with a therapist.
