Jaclyn Besner, BScN, MN, NP-PHC

Jaclyn Besner is a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner at Care& Family Health, Lawrence Park, with a strong clinical background in maternal, women's, and family health. She is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centered care across all stages of life, with a particular focus on prenatal and postpartum health, women's wellness, and family care.

Jaclyn's primary foundation in nursing comes from more than nine years in the Labour and Delivery Unit at North York General Hospital, where she supported families through labour, birth, and postpartum recovery. These years shaped her deep commitment to compassionate, family-centered care and her ability to ensure every patient felt safe, informed, and supported through both joyous and challenging moments. Building on this foundation, she went on to specialize in high-risk obstetrics at Mount Sinai Hospital's Ontario Fetal Centre, working as a nurse sonographer in advanced prenatal clinics and caring for patients navigating complex pregnancies with both clinical expertise and empathetic support.

Jaclyn holds a Master of Nursing and Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner degree from York University, and she remains passionate about advancing accessible, inclusive, and evidence-informed care for women and families. She believes that healthcare should be a partnership built on trust, understanding, and respect.

Known for her calm presence, thoughtful communication, and genuine connection with patients, Jaclyn creates a space where individuals feel seen, heard, and cared for. Outside of work, she finds joy spending time with her husband, two sons and large extended family, cheering from the stands at her son's hockey and baseball games, cooking and baking, going on family road trips, and attending live concerts whenever she can.
