Yes, requesting prescription refills through the Care& app is one of our most popular features, designed to eliminate unnecessary appointments and pharmacy phone tag. The process is remarkably simple: log into the app, navigate to “My Medications,” and you’ll see a list of your current prescriptions with their remaining refills. With just one tap on the “Request Refill” button, your request is sent directly to your Nurse Practitioner for review. For routine medications, refills are typically approved within 1 business day, and the prescription is sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy (which you can update anytime in your profile settings). You’ll receive a notification when your refill has been approved and sent. For medications requiring monitoring or reassessment before refilling, your provider may message you through the app to schedule a brief check-in appointment or lab work. This streamlined system ensures you never run out of important medications while maintaining appropriate clinical oversight. Family Practice members enjoy unlimited prescription refill requests as part of their membership, while Episodic Healthcare patients can use this feature for medications prescribed during previous Care& visits.
